Creator Growth Review Template

A 30-day review template for connecting traffic, profile conversion, retention signals and next actions without mixing unlike metrics.

Table of contents
  1. 1. Review period
  2. 2. Discovery
  3. 3. Traffic
  4. 4. Profile conversion
  5. 5. Retention and value signals
  6. 6. What changed?
  7. 7. Diagnose the bottleneck
  8. 8. Set one next experiment

A monthly review should answer what changed and what to do next. It should not be a collection of screenshots or a single total follower number. This template separates discovery, traffic, conversion and retention signals.

1. Review period

  • Period: __________ to __________
  • Main business objective: __________
  • Main growth experiment: __________
  • Important platform/profile changes: __________

2. Discovery

Record the surfaces that created visibility: search, social, communities, discovery pages, collaborations and paid placements.

Source Visibility metric Change vs. prior period Comment
________ ________ ________ ________
________ ________ ________ ________

3. Traffic

  • Total measurable referral clicks: __________
  • Destination visitors: __________
  • Highest-quality source by defined criterion: __________
  • Tracking gaps: __________

4. Profile conversion

Use platform data only where available and comparable. If attribution is weak, report aggregate movement rather than assigning causality to one source.

  • New follows: __________
  • New subscribers: __________
  • Visitor-to-action rate, if measurable: __________
  • Offer or price changes during period: __________

5. Retention and value signals

Do not infer retention from acquisition data. Use a sufficiently long destination-platform window where available.

  • Renewal/retention signal: __________
  • Repeat purchase or engagement signal: __________
  • Revenue metric used: __________
  • Data limitations: __________

6. What changed?

  1. One positive movement: ____________________
  2. One negative movement: ____________________
  3. One metric that stayed stable: ____________________
  4. One data gap that prevented a conclusion: ____________________

7. Diagnose the bottleneck

Observed pattern Likely area to investigate
Low visibility Distribution volume / discoverability
Visibility but low clicks Creative / audience / placement fit
Clicks but low visits Tracking / redirects / loading
Visits but low conversion Profile / offer / message match
Conversion but weak value Pricing / purchase behavior / retention

8. Set one next experiment

Choose one meaningful variable so the next review can produce a clearer learning.

  • Hypothesis: ____________________
  • Variable to change: ____________________
  • Metrics to watch: ____________________
  • Minimum observation window: ____________________
  • What stays constant: ____________________

For campaign-level records, use the Campaign Tracking Worksheet. For traffic scenarios, use the Promotion ROI Calculator without treating modeled results as guaranteed outcomes.

RESOURCE METHOD

Use the template to improve consistency, not to manufacture certainty.

A checklist can make campaign planning and reporting more repeatable, but it cannot create missing attribution. If a destination platform does not expose a metric, mark it as unavailable instead of filling the gap with an assumption.
