How Buzz Crafter processes personal data.

Last updated: October 2026

1. Controller

Controller for the processing of personal data on Buzz Crafter is:
Sandra Bock
Buzz Crafter
Elsa-Neumann-Str. 57
13629 Berlin
Germany
Email: hello@buzz-crafter.com

2. General principles

Buzz Crafter processes personal data only where a legal basis exists and only for defined purposes. Depending on the function used, processing may be necessary to perform a contract or pre-contractual steps, comply with legal obligations, protect legitimate interests such as service security and abuse prevention, or be based on consent.

3. Website and server logs

When the website is accessed, technical information such as IP address, request time, requested URL, referrer, browser or device information and server response may be processed in server logs. This is used to deliver the website, maintain technical security, diagnose errors and prevent abuse. Log data is retained only for the period necessary for these purposes unless longer retention is legally required or needed to investigate a security incident.

4. Accounts, registration and profile management

If an account is created, Buzz Crafter may process contact information, login and security data, selected account role, language preferences, creator or agency information, linked public profile information and account activity necessary to provide the service. Email verification and security information may be processed to prevent unauthorised access and abuse.

5. Creator intelligence and public profile data

Buzz Crafter may process creator-profile information obtained from the user, authorised connections or publicly accessible sources in order to provide visibility, profile-health, niche, keyword, platform, competitor, search-footprint and related intelligence functions. Where measurements are unavailable, Buzz Crafter may mark data as unavailable or unmeasured instead of inferring a value.

6. Free Check and forms

When a Free Check or form is submitted, the entered profile URL, platform, email address or other submitted information may be processed to perform the requested check, prevent abuse, return the result and, where requested, create or continue an account workflow.

7. Payments

For paid services, payment information may be processed by a payment provider such as Stripe. Buzz Crafter generally receives payment status, transaction references, invoice-relevant information and limited payment metadata rather than full card details. The payment provider acts under its own data-protection responsibilities for parts of the payment process.

8. Email and service communications

Buzz Crafter may use the supplied email address for verification, transactional messages, security notices, invoices, service updates and responses to enquiries. Marketing messages are sent only where a valid legal basis exists and applicable requirements are met.

9. Cookies and similar technologies

Technical storage and access technologies are described in the Cookie Policy. Optional analytics or marketing technologies are activated only where they are actually configured and the necessary consent has been obtained.

10. Hosting and processors

Buzz Crafter may use hosting, email, infrastructure, payment, security and technical service providers that process personal data on behalf of Buzz Crafter where necessary. Processors are selected and contractually bound in accordance with applicable data-protection requirements.

11. International transfers

If a service provider processes personal data outside the European Economic Area, Buzz Crafter uses an applicable transfer mechanism where required, such as an adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses, and takes additional safeguards into account where necessary.

12. Retention

Personal data is retained only as long as necessary for the relevant purpose, contractual relationship, security requirements or statutory retention obligations. Account and contractual data may therefore be retained longer than short-lived technical logs.

13. Rights of data subjects

Subject to the legal requirements, data subjects may have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection. Where processing is based on consent, consent can be withdrawn for the future at any time. Requests can be sent to hello@buzz-crafter.com.

14. Right to complain

Data subjects have the right to lodge a complaint with a competent data-protection supervisory authority if they believe that the processing of their personal data infringes applicable data-protection law.

15. Automated analysis

Buzz Crafter may use automated calculations and analytical models to generate scores, classifications and recommendations. These outputs are intended for intelligence and decision support. Buzz Crafter does not use such scores as a substitute for legally significant decisions about a natural person unless a separate lawful basis and applicable safeguards exist.

16. Security

Buzz Crafter uses technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risk to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, alteration and misuse. No internet-based system can guarantee absolute security.

17. Changes

This Privacy Policy may be updated when services, processors or legal requirements change.
